On Sunday 20th May 2007 at 6.30pm, Urban Saints present The Word Made Fresh at Lymm Baptist Church. The Word Made Fresh is a brand new theatrical show which brings fourteen biblical characters to life in a way that has never been seen before. The Bible is often perceived as boring and irrelevant and yet The Word Made Fresh reveals how a real God makes a real difference to the lives of real people. Each monologue, inspired by the biblical text, is linked together by a background narration which helps the audience journey through the Bible, as the story of God unfolds from Genesis to Revelation. The Word Made Fresh is guaranteed to be an extremely entertaining and inspiring evening, suitable for young people and adults who go to church, and those who don’t. Dave Jenkins unique gift for humour helps the audience relate to characters like Noah, Moses, Job, Peter, Thomas and Paul as they may well have been, honestly dealing with the situations and obstacles they had to face as they sought to live for God. The two hour show is sponsored by Urban Saints, the youth and children’s missionary movement previously known as Crusaders. Urban Saints is passionate about helping young people live lives of faith, hope and love through Christ, becoming God’s agents of change wherever they are in the world. The Word Made Fresh presents inspiring examples of God’s agents of change from the Bible, seeking to encourage both young people and adults by their example to make a difference for God. The event is free (there will be a collection plate for donations at the end). Click here for a leaflet. For more details, see the The Word Made Fresh page on the Urban Saints website.
