Back in March, over 500 people answered a questionnaire about community life in Lymm. Questions fell into 6 main areas: Policing, Education, Local Government, the role of the Church, Local Business and Volunteering. This community audit was the precursor to a well received ‘Question Time’ style event where almost 100 members of the public interacted with a panel of local representatives for each of these areas. Now the data from the questionnaires has been fully extracted and analysed and the comprehensive results will be available shortly. Many will not be surprised to discover that the main areas of concern were things like antisocial behaviour, pot-holes, parking and dog fouling. However, on the plus side a whopping 93% of respondents were happy with the standard of education in Lymm, and it turns out that Lymm is more community minded than the national average when it comes to volunteering – 2 reasons to be very proud I’m sure you’ll agree. So click here if you’d like to discover more details about the findings, or alternatively hard copies of the results are available at Lymm Library or Lymm Baptist Church. 19th July 2011 - Family Funday Family Funday in Ridgway Grundy Park, Lymm from 12pm until 4.15pm on Thursday 11th August 2011 the Everyone is welcome.
