12th November 2007 - Breakfast in Bethlehem On Saturday 1st December between 9.30am and 12.30pm, Lymm Baptist Church is open to all for our annual Breakfast in Bethlehem (A Morning of Christmas Family Activities) celebration. Breakfast in Bethlehem is open to all. There will be crafts, Baking, nativity Photographs, Karaoke Carols, Refreshments and much more. Come and join us for a fun morning out for all the family. Entry is free! Drop in anytime between 9.30am and 12.30pm. This is a family event. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all adults must be accompanied by at least one child! 15th October 2007 - Update on Quiz Night & Auction for Meyer Appeal The Quiz Night & Auction of promises last Saturday (13th October) raised approx. £1,600 so far. A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. 10th October 2007 - Light Party Lymm Baptist Church is holding its annual Light Party (an alternative Halloween event for children of primary school age), on Wednesday 31st October from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. Click here for more details. 10th October 2007 - Update on Charity Evening at The Cinnamon Club for the Savage Appeal The charity evening at the Cinnamon Club on Saturday 23rd September raised approx. £2,100 so far. All monies go to the Savage Appeal for eyecare and healthcare in Tanzania. Congratulations to Michael McErlean for his hard work in organising the event, and a big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.
On Saturday 13th October, there will be a Quiz Night & Auction of promises to raise money for the work of Lizzie & Jens Meyer in Papua New Guinea. The evening starts at 8pm at church. Tickets £5 from Ian. 9th October 2007 - Slum Survivor Some of our youth are organising a Slum Survivor event from 2nd to 4th November. For more information click here.
Our harvest services on 14th October will focus of the BMS World Mission Higher Ground project. The project shows how BMS World Mission support is helping to rebuild lives, homes and churches on the island of Nias following the devastation that suddenly visited it in a tsunami and subsequent earthquakes. The offering from the service will go towards this project. As in previous years, we are also taking donations of non perishable food gifts which will be given to Bobby McAree for distribution in Wythenshawe. 3rd October 2007 - Deacons Election At the last church meeting on 27th September 2007, Paul Gellert was elected as mission deacon & Deb Smith was elected as Youth Deacon. 23rd April 2007 - Small Group Seminars On Sunday 9 September, Rev Andy Twilley of Nationwide Christian Trust will be preaching at the morning service. In the afternoon he will be conducting a couple of seminars, entitled, 'How to be a better Group Leader' & 'Using the Bible Creatively in your Group'. These are being organised for the benefit of all who have any involvement in leading one of our Small Groups and/or in leading Bible Studies in any context, but especially in one of our Small Groups. We want to urge everyone already involved in this way and anyone else who would like to consider this as an area of ministry to make this day a priority.
