Update 5th October 2006: Message from Chris, Rob, the Elders & the Deacons; Church Work Party & Prayer Meeting In place of the proposed programme for Saturday 7th October, we have organized a work party for Saturday morning and a time of corporate prayer for Saturday afternoon. The work party will run from 8:30am to 12:30pm, with the time of prayer running from 1.30 to 3pm. The main focus will be on outside jobs although there are jobs to be done inside the church too. Please bring gardening tools if you have them. It is hoped that you will stay over the lunch period. A prepared lunch will not be provided so please bring a packed lunch. The time of prayer will primarily focus on seeking God’s direction for our future as a church. Chris will lead us in prayer and Joel will leading us in song. Child care will be provided. If you would like to bring your children to either event, please contact the church office by Friday afternoon at the latest and indicate how many children you will be bringing and their ages. Update 2nd October 2006: Unfortunately the Lifeshapes programme has been postponed. To get the most out of the material and to ensure that it is wholly appropriate for us, Chris and Rob will meet with the team at St Thomas’ to understand the material more fully. However, we will now be holding a Gardening & Building Maintenance Work Party from 8.30am onwards. Parts of the gardens and building currently require urgent attention. If you are able to offer an hour or two, or possibly the full morning, please come and join us in this practical, but essential service. Lifeshapes: Living a Passionate Life The Lymm Baptist Church Weekend at Home 2006 is on Saturday 7th October from 10am to 4pm. Come and join us as Anne Maclaurin and a group from St. Thomas Philadelphia in Sheffield lead us. You will learn how to apply these easy to recall shapes in every situation and relationship in life - in order to have a passionate relationship with God. The cost is £2.50 per person (including lunch). There will also be a Youth & Children's Programme. For more information, please contact the church office. |
