Elders News

19th September 2008 - Elders Election Results

At the September Church Meeting (18th September 2008), Bryan & John were re-elected as elders for another 3 year term.

18th July 2008 - Elders Election at September Church Meeting

By the date of the September Church Meeting (18th September), Bryan, John & Richard will have completed their 3 year term as Elders and are eligible for re-election if nominated; Richard has indicated that he does not intend to stand for re-election.

18th March 2008 - Elders Roles

At the church meeting on 13th March 2008, it was decided that following a review of the church's support structures and a consideration of how the Leadership might provide better support in the church, the Elders have now taken on the following responsibilities,

  • Chris Newton - Teaching & Pastoral Support

  • Brian Mortishire - Pastoral Support

  • Rodger Spurling - Discipleship (inc Small Groups)

  • John Hall - Worship

  • Lester Barr - Communication

  • Richard Evans - Prayer

18th January 2008 - Elders Election

At the church meeting on 17th January 2008, the following individuals were elected as elders,

Lester Barr

Rodger Spurling

9th October 2007 - Richard Evans

At the church meeting on 27th September 2007, Richard Evans has decided to take a 6 month sabbatical from the eldership, due to family, work and personal circumstances.

2nd July 2007 - Ministry Assistant

Starting Sunday July 1st 2007, Ian Olliver joins as the pastoral team as Ministry Assistant. Ian does not serve as an Elder but attends Elders & occasional Deacons meetings.

15th May 2007 - Assistant Pastor

In June 2007, Rob Beamish left to become the pastor of Prince's Drive Baptist Church in Colwyn Bay.

15th July 2005 - Elders

Following the last church meeting on 14th July 2005, the following individuals have been elected as elders,

  • Richard Evans

  • John Hall

  • Brian Mortishire

17th June 2005 - Elders

Following the last church meeting on 26th May, the Chris, Rob & the deacons have announced that the nominations for elders are,

  • Richard Evans

  • John Hall

  • Brian Mortishire

The eldership election will take place at the next church meeting (14th July 2005) and is open to all church members.
