Information on Lizzie & Jens

Jens' interest in Wycliffe Bible Translators started in 1991, through Lizzie. They have been working in Papua New Guinea since September 2001.

Jens is a trained Literacy specialist with experience, and Lizzie is getting into what is called “Scripture in Use”. They are now starting to work with a language called Karo, in the Madang province of Papua New Guinea.

Jens’ main task is to train Papua New Guineans to become teachers and school their children to read and write in their own mother tongue, as this is the most effective way to learn for the very first three years of education.

Lizzie helps PNGns to read and use their own mother tongue Bible, and to try to learn and apply God's truth from the Scriptures.
